Updated October 2026

Who we are

Prime One Consulting runs the detail department for franchise dealerships. The dealership trusts us to handle detail so they don’t have to.

Our mission: provide excellent service for franchise dealerships.

Our values: professionalism, care and respect.

What you’ll do

  • Full detail used vehicles for the front line
  • Prepare new vehicles for the front line (PDI clean)
  • Prepare new and used vehicles for delivery
  • Detail customer vehicles from the Service department
  • Help keep the store clean, organized and stocked
  • Work with dealership staff on anything detail-related

No experience needed

We train you. What we look for:

  • High energy and a positive attitude
  • A teamwork mindset
  • Good communication
  • Coachability
  • Professionalism

Training and equipment

Your manager and team train you hands-on. You’ll work with pressure washers, polishers, steamers, air tools, carpet extractors, heat guns and general cleaning tools.

Before you start, go through these:

Safety

  • Safety glasses and 5-mil nitrile gloves on before you open any chemical.
  • Use only the products you’re trained and approved to use.
  • Every chemical’s safety sheet is on the Safety Data Sheets page.
  • Report any injury, spill or damage to your manager right away.

Hours

We follow the hours of the dealership you work at, usually Monday through Saturday. Your manager gives you your schedule.

Dress code

We provide uniform shirts and hats. Bottoms, shoes and the rest are on the Dress Code page.

Attendance

Zero tolerance for no-call, no-show. If you’ll be late or can’t come in, tell your manager every time. Not communicating can get you let go.

Ask your manager for time off at least one week in advance.

Discipline

Problems are handled step by step: coaching, then a verbal warning, then up to three written warnings, then termination.

Some things get you let go on the spot: showing up intoxicated or bringing alcohol or drugs on the premises, verbal abuse or threats, violence, illegal activity, sexual harassment or inappropriate comments, or openly disrespecting your manager.

Full details are on the Company Policies page.

How we treat people

We work inside someone else’s business. Be professional, courteous and positive with dealership staff and customers. We’re grateful for the chance to serve, and we do it with excellence.

New hires are paired with experienced team members for training. Ask questions anytime. We want to see you grow.

Your next steps

  1. Complete your onboarding paperwork.
  2. Finish the Chemical Safety Training.
  3. Read the Detailer Manual.
  4. Meet with your manager about your schedule, duties, pay schedule and commissions.
