Duties & Conduct

What every detail technician owes the team, the dealership and the customer.

Every technician

  • Be at the shop on time and available for the whole shift. Stay until the end of the shift — closers stay until a sales manager says you’re clear to leave.
  • Work with coworkers in a professional, cordial, team-first way.
  • Do every service your dealership offers with excellence and on time.
  • Keep the shop clean, organized and supplied.
  • Help train and bring new employees up to speed.
  • Be professional, friendly and respectful with dealership staff, customers and vendors.
  • Follow the Dress Code.

Customers are the reason we exist

  • We’re glad to help. Customers are never an interruption.
  • Customers and dealership staff are our friends, not “us vs. them.”
  • Respect and professionalism, every time — in conduct, appearance, attitude and communication.

Not acceptable — ever

  • Music with profanity or obscenity, in any language
  • Inappropriate comments, jokes or behavior
  • Outbursts of anger
  • Smoking or being under the influence at work

Music and earbuds

  • Music on speakers at a reasonable volume is fine.
  • Earbuds or headphones are fine as long as you can still hear people, vehicles and your manager.
