Detailing Training
Short, step-by-step how-tos. Pick the job you’re about to do.
Every job, every time
- Before your first shift: complete the Chemical Safety Training. Every detailer, no exceptions.
- Safety glasses and 5-mil nitrile gloves on before you open a chemical.
- Inspect the vehicle first. Report any damage before you touch it.
- Products can vary by store. Each guide names the type of product first, with the name most stores stock in parentheses — for example, degreaser (F15). If your store has a different brand, use the one that does the same job.
- Not sure about a product? Check the Safety Data Sheets or ask your manager.
- New detailers: use the quality check at the end of each guide as your checklist on every car until your manager says you’re ready.
